SPRINGFIELD — The annual Giving Day event for Lincoln Land Community College is being held Friday, Nov. 13, inviting the community to help advance the mission of the college by raising essential funds for student needs. Alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of ºÚÁϳԹϾW are encouraged to participate.

“Giving Day demonstrates the incredible difference our community can make when we come together to support students,â€ said Karen Sanders, vice president of advancement and executive director of the ºÚÁϳԹϾW Foundation. “Every contribution helps create opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals, overcome challenges and build brighter futures. We are grateful for the generosity of our donors and the lasting impact their support has on students and our community.â€

Student recipients of nancial assistance are a diverse group of individuals committed to the value of an education and the opportunities it creates. Many continue their studies at four-year universities or enter careers that strengthen the region’s workforce and economy.

“The decision to go to college wasn’t an easy one, but college will open up the opportunity for me to accomplish bigger and better things in the field of computer science,â€ said scholarship recipient and ºÚÁϳԹϾW student Isaac Mably. “I appreciate the generosity of my donor for giving me the ability to partake in college with less financial strain.â€

ºÚÁϳԹϾW Foundation scholarships are made possible through the generosity of community businesses, organizations and individuals as well as support from the college’s annual faculty and staff giving campaign.

“Scholarships and emergency assistance can make the difference between a student staying enrolled or putting their education on hold, Sanders added. “Whether a donor chooses to support the General Scholarship Fund, Emergency Fund or other area of need, every gift helps remove barriers and empowers students to achieve their goals. We invite the community to visit llccfoundation.org and explore the many ways to make a difference.

The ºÚÁϳԹϾW Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation providing ï¬nancial support to educational programs and services of the college by assisting in increasing and enhancing the physical and cultural environment of the college to positively impact students, alumni and the community.
